Paytm is the consumer brand of India’s leading mobile internet company One97 communications. One97 investors include SAIF Partners, Intel Capital and SAP Ventures.
Recently, paytm switched from a full time online recharge website to complete e-commerce business with all the electronics and consumer goods to compete with the likes of flipkart,amazon, snapdeal, myntra etc.
To compete with online retail behemoths like flipkart, amazon etc One need to have something better and out of the league to attract customers which is so obvious. Hence, cashbacks offers and cheapest deals.
Paytm is offering these amazing cashback offers which makes a particular item cheapest on it's online store, one definitely will go for it or atleast will try once for sure. By providing cashbacks in terms of paytm wallet cash they make sure you visit them again and again to use those cashback amount for further purchases and hence a nice way of retaining customers.
As they have a strong customer base who recharge from their estore, they are the first to try it and I am no different. I myself purchased a lot of stuffs from paytm shop and received the products in good condition with genuine brands.
I don't have the data of the hike in customer base and their monthly sales on paytm but certainly I could see a rise in traffic on paytm shop and it is now ranked 54 (on 2nd oct 2014) in India by Alexa traffic ranking.
Whatever the reason behind the #greatPaytmGiveaway , customers are happy buying stuffs at cheaper rates from paytm shop.
I would recommend buying stuffs from them.
